About
I’m Steve Fredrick, a professional photographer specializing in all aspects of nature photography, including wildlife and landscape photography. I sell mostly via juried art shows. I also teach photography classes through the Chester County Night School. I also offer independent outing workshops as well and Digital Asset Management and Image Enhancement workshops through It’s All About the Light Tours.
This blog is about all aspects of digital photography. Digital photography is a two-step process: image capture followed by post processing. The image capture step involves anything that affects image quality and includes things like exposure, composition and image sharpness. While post processing involves how digital files (images) are stored and retrieved as well as how they are enhanced to better fit the photographer’s vision. You should note that both of these have areas that involve technical knowledge as well as an artistic side. Both of these will be discussed.
Even though everyone is welcome, I expect most visitors will be those interested in photography and learning to make better images.
There will be posts with tips for using various tools to accomplish the two steps in digital photography. So there will be blogs about camera settings, how to do things in Photoshop, Bridge, ACR, and Lightroom. There will also be discussions about composition and visual design. As well as the occasional rant (you’ll know them when you see them).
